I'm a professional designer with experience in print, web and video design. I take pride in being flexible to the needs of a diverse group of projects. I've worked with large, multi-national medical organizations on jobs that required the coordination of many resources. I've worked in the detail-oriented atmospheres of newspapers and medical journals. I've also worked with many artists on projects creating identities and pieces that highlight their work through original, dynamic designs.
I studied design at UMass Dartmouth, graduating cum laude with a BFA in Visual Design and Letterform. Upon graduating, I worked at Hathaway Newspapers, designing ads and newspaper pages for five weekly newspapers. Soon I took a job at the New Bedford Standard Times as Newsroom Web Producer, creating content and managing the website of this daily newspaper.
In 2008, I left the paper and began my career as a freelance designer working with many individuals and organizations. I've created print designs for The Medical Roundtable, Paris Muse/Louvre Quest, The Wilbury Group, the Providence Improv Guild, The Empire Revue, Big Nazo, Bill Harley, Keith Munslow, Melissa Bowler and Leigh Hendrix. I've created websites for The Inter-American Foundation for Clinical Research, Project Globe Consortium, Givens Life Rafts, Sarah Havens Millinery, Daniel Stein and The Trumans.
I created The Medical Roundtable: General Medicine Edition for FoxP2 media. This 100-page, full color medical journal required all new design. The process of creating an elegant, straight-forward design that could be implemented efficiently with proper styles in perpetuity was a challenge I was proud to meet. Digital type-setting of this nature is a specialty of mine.
I have taught design at ¡CityArts! for Youth in Providence RI. When not not designing or teaching I work as an actor, including my solo show "It's A Spaceship Now."
